KNOWING THE ARCHITECTURAL AND LEGACY
OF CATHOLIC FERVOR IN CENTRAL AMERICA .
ALL IN A DAY
Republic de Guatemala
Today we will become acquainted with one of the most important churches of Central America, the Basilica of the Señor of Esquipulas, known as the Central American capital of faith because of the different miracles performed by the black Christ.
Hundreds of thousands of people make pilgrimages to this site and offer devotions. We can enjoy and learn about the religious fervor of these visitors as their rows closely approach and touch the miraculous Christ. We will rejoice and receive the Eucharist in one of the most ancient temples in America.
After our lunch, we can visit the small but significant Calvary Church which hosts the image of the Señor of Esquipulas. This was the first home of the image.
Continuing the tour we will learn about other churches in nearby towns.

Republica de El Salvador
Three hours after leaving Copán Ruins we will arrive at the City of Santa Ana to visit one of the most famous cathedrals in this country.
Today's Cathedral is the parish center and was built in the 16th century and destroyed by lightning the 19th century. Reconstruction began in 1906.
We will visit the Calvary Church and then return to Metapan where the first colonial church was built in the year 1743.
